Still Time to Register for Summer Shore - Sports, Science, Outdoors - Beverly, MA
As the June 1 registration deadline nears, Julie Ruggieri, Shore Country Day School's Director of Auxiliary Programs, wants parents to know that it's not too late to secure a spot in some of the exciting new offerings that are among this year's Summer Shore camps in Beverly, MA.
"Interest has been phenomenal in our new programs, such as Minecraft Game Design and Drobots, but there's still space available in some of our most popular sessions," Ruggieri says. "Our program this year is bigger and better than ever, offering special early- and late-season sessions, full-day camp options, and water fun—all this in addition to our renowned sports clinics, arts programs, tech and engineering camps, and innovative learning opportunities lead by Shore faculty and respected visiting artists, athletes, and more."
For children entering fourth grade and above, openings remain in Science Extravaganza, Drobots, Girls Lacrosse, Girls Field Hockey, Soccer, Minecraft Game Design, and Taste Buds Kitchen with Chef Scott Flanagan.
"Minecraft Game Design and Drobots are among our newest programs in S.T.E.A.M.," says Ruggieri. "And in Science Extravaganza, Lower School science teacher Whitney Morris will have campers exploring ponds, tide pools, and paddle boarding!"
Families with younger children entering pre-K through third grade will find plenty of options, as well. "We've added dancing and yoga sessions for the youngest campers," says Ruggieri, "taught by experienced Shore faculty. A special Jr. version of our Minecraft Game Design program is offered, too!" Also still accepting registrations are Soccer, Tinker Time, Enchanted Kingdom, Scratch, Kid's Bake Off, Outdoor Ed: Wandering and Wondering, and Taste Buds Kitchen with Chef Flanagan.
"There's something here for almost any young camper," explains Ruggier, "whether they're a Shore student or not. Each year we welcome outside families from as close as right here in Beverly, to as far away as the South Shore, western suburbs, and elsewhere."
Before- and after-camp childcare, a lunch option, and weekly water fun days are also offered.
