Our Program

BuildingAn Athletic Foundation

At Shore, physical activity plays an integral role in a child’s education. A lifelong pursuit of physical activity and a healthy approach towards teamwork and competition are primary goals of the physical education and sports program at Shore.

NANCY MCNALL, ATHLETIC DIRECTOR, COACH, AND SHORE PARENT

Sports provide a wonderful opportunity for students to learn valuable life lessons.
Our program consists of physical education classes for Lower School students, Project Adventure classes for Upper School students, as well as required afternoon intramural and interscholastic athletic programs. Through a variety of offerings, we promote positive attitudes towards physical exercise and working cooperatively with others. Sportsmanship is a trademark of Shore teams at all levels. Our students move on to secondary school feeling well prepared and appreciating the athletic foundation they gained at Shore. Three full-time physical education teachers, two gymnasiums, a ropes course, and a climbing wall, as well as lush grass fields, bring our program to life!
