Shore Country Day School sets families’ tuition at the level they can afford; we determine each individual family’s ability to pay by evaluating a range of factors. Many Shore families sacrifice to pay tuition at the highest level, while many more contribute at reduced levels that fairly reflect their ability to pay. With over $1.5 million available annually to bridge the difference between the amount of tuition families are able to pay and the full cost of a Shore education, we are committed to making our school as accessible as possible. As you begin your application process, please make special note of the policies and perspectives on financial assistance at Shore, listed here.
Shore uses the Clarity application to determine a family’s financial need based on the information that families share in the application, which includes assets, income, expenses, and debts. The application typically takes about 30 minutes to complete.

Directions on how to apply for tuition assistance
- Log in to Clarity if you are a previous user, or create an account if you have never used Clarity before. The application becomes available on October 1.
- When prompted, select Shore Country Day School from the list of schools to receive the information.
- Carefully fill out the Clarity financial aid application. The application typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete and is mobile-friendly, which means you can complete it from anywhere. You can also save your progress and return to it at any time.
- Clarity will request the 2025 Federal income tax return through Form 4506C as part of the application.
- Pay the $65 fee. The fee covers your Shore application and your application to any other school using Clarity. Clarity automatically waives the fee for applicants meeting their income level guidelines.
- Upload the last paycheck stub dated December 2026 for all wage earners with all year-ending totals.
- Upload the 2026 W-2 for all salary or wage earners, if requested.

Clarity application becomes available.

Deadline to apply for financial assistance (current families).

2026 signed tax return, accompanying schedules, and supporting documents from all family wage earners must be uploaded to Clarity. No Financial Assistance offer can be considered final until your 2026 tax forms have been reviewed by Shore.
