    For years, Shore has partnered with local organization Beverly Bootstraps to put together what is a treasured annual experience for both sides of this mutual relationship. Beverly Bootstraps is a Beverly-based group which does an incredible amount of good for members of our local community, including providing food assistance, housing assistance, and a number of other services to those in need. Shore is proud to be a long term partner, and the relationship between organization and school spans multiple decades.

  • El Proyecto De Las Mariposas: Symbolic Monarch Migration with Sra. Ovalle

    Students in Sra. Ovalle's Grades 2-4 Spanish classes are participating in the Symbolic Monarch Migration, organized by Journey North. Students create colorful butterflies and letters that are sent together in an envelope to Journey North, which then distributes them to schools in Mexico participating in the same project. In the spring, when the Monarch butterflies return to the United States and Canada, our students will receive symbolic butterflies and letters from children in Mexico.

  • Voice and Confidence: Halloween Concert 2025

    This year’s edition of the Halloween Concert, a fall tradition that takes place after our Halloween Parade, featured a joyful mix of musical selections, performed with enthusiasm by Lower School students in Grades Pre-K - 2. This year’s concert was notable as it was the first major musical performance organized by new Lower School Music Teacher Lauren Notas. Welcoming families to campus and allowing students the opportunity to share their work is a quintessential example of what it means to be a member of the Shore community.

  • Creativity in Costume: Halloween Parade 2025

    Shore’s Halloween Parade is a longstanding tradition, a yearly favorite, and a great example of the magic that happens when our entire community comes together. The Oval is transformed into a circular stage where Shore students and colleagues join in a joyful parade, showing off their creative costumes. This year’s parade included rock stars, unicorns, athletes, crayons, the Ghostbusters, and even a light-up cardboard robot!

  • Citizen Science at Shore: The Zoo New England Turtles Program

    Every fall, Shore’s science program receives a shipment of two turtles from Zoo New England. Teachers and students are tasked with taking daily care of the endangered reptiles, including feeding, cleaning, and ensuring that the turtles maintain a healthy weight and growth pattern, with the idea that eventually the turtles would be released back into the wild in the spring.

    Shore spirit was shining when over 170 parents, faculty, and staff enjoyed an evening of connection and fun at the Shore Fall Social on October 17, 2025. The event provided a wonderful opportunity for new and returning families to continue getting to know each other, and for parents to build and strengthen relationships with the faculty and staff who teach and know their children so well.

    Grade 5 is an exciting and pivotal year for Shore students, as they are encouraged to take ownership of their learning and given more opportunities for leadership as they begin preparing for their transition into the Upper School. Shore’s curriculum is strategically and creatively aligned to prepare students for this transition in a variety of ways, and one of the highlights of the Grade 5 curriculum is the Big Buddies program.
