Creativity in Costume: Halloween Parade 2025

Shore’s Halloween Parade is a longstanding tradition, a yearly favorite, and a great example of the magic that happens when our entire community comes together. The Oval is transformed into a circular stage where Shore students and colleagues join in a joyful parade, showing off their creative costumes. This year’s parade included rock stars, unicorns, athletes, crayons, the Ghostbusters, and even a light-up cardboard robot!

As Pre-K students led the way around the Oval, waving to the assembled crowd of cheering families, a special energy was palpable that only events like this can cultivate. Pre-K and Kindergarten students walked hand in hand with their Grade 5 buddies, excited to be in the center of the action, while older students dressed in costume by advisory, with their advisors joining in on the fun. Wizards, penguins, Hogwarts students, ninja turtles, and more were highlights of the group costumes. In the weeks leading up to the parade, you can often find Shore students planning group costumes, laughing about old Halloween memories, and forging bonds with one another surrounding their costumes. While a simple parade of colors on the surface, all you have to do is ask one of our students about the Halloween Parade, and you’ll know all you need to know about the impact that fun tradition has on our growing community. “I was an inflatable donut with shoulder straps! It took me so long to get everything together, but I had so much fun.” said Reeth B. “I’m a character from my favorite game, Minecraft!” says Jack S. excitedly, holding up a cardboard box painted a crystal blue color. “I need to make sure I don’t lose my diamond block!” We look forward to seeing the creativity continue for next year's annual Halloween Parade.
