Larry Griffin - Head of School Announces Shore Country Day School Strategic Plan 2014-2019

Part of the rhythm and cycle of schools is determined by the vision and direction set for the future. A year ago, I indicated we were embarking on the design of a Strategic Plan to delineate where we want to take Shore in the next three to five years. An ambitious assemblage of parents, Board members, teachers, staff and administrators spent the past year in research and planning. We are proud to share these results with the Shore community and the public with the posting of our Strategic Plan on the Shore website. You may have seen it this week if you happened to visit the About Shore section on our website. Tonight and thereafter, when you visit the Shore website, you will immediately notice the Strategic Plan link. Links are provided throughout the website to make navigation easy and direct.

We identified four major priorities: Teaching and Learning – Expanding our leadership in early education – An Integrated Communications Plan – and Making Shore Affordable and Accessible to as many well qualified students as possible.

Annual goals for each priority are delineated and the metrics for judging success are being developed. Shore is at a great point in its storied history of prominence on the North Shore, and this Strategic Plan sets the stage for securing this legacy far into the future. Be sure to investigate this dynamic site and join the excitement about where we are headed.
