Shore Spirit Week

This year's edition of Shore Spirit Week was a blast! Spirit Week is always a favorite for our students, with daily dress-up themes, schoolwide events, special hand-made meals from our scratch kitchen, and more! Shore spirit was in the air, as students, faculty, and staff alike went all-out with their outfits, energy, and positivity, making this year one to remember.

Monday of Spirit Week featured differing themes between Upper School and Lower School, as younger students celebrated Color Day while older students went 'old school' with a classic Decades theme! Popular decades included the 20s, the 70s, and the 80s, and students came dressed as flappers, in cornerboy caps and Kangols, and in full outfits of neon and pastel colors. The four-way tug-of-war between Grades 6, 7, 8, and the faculty was an exciting event, with Grade 6 emerging as the champions. Next, themes aligned as Tuesday was Favorites Day, an open-ended day where students were encouraged to wear an outfit representing their favorite 'something', like a sports team, a career, or a style of dress. Wednesday was Hat and Hair Day, which made for a wild scene on campus as students wore all sorts of outrageous hats, helmets, and hairdos, with some Upper School students tinting their hair blue to show their Shore spirit. Thursday was Pajama Day, both a classic and a fan favorite, as almost every student on campus came wearing their favorite pajamas. Finally, Friday was a joint Patriots and Shore Spirit Day, as students brought jerseys and wore Shore gear to turn campus into a sea of blue and white to show their support for the Patriots in the Super Bowl. There was no better way to end the week than with a Friday afternoon castle ball tournament, and the entire community went into the weekend energized and excited after a great week at Shore.
