Shining Shore Spirit: Shore Fall Social 2025

Shore spirit was shining when over 170 parents, faculty, and staff enjoyed an evening of connection and fun at the Shore Fall Social on October 17, 2025. The event provided a wonderful opportunity for new and returning families to continue getting to know each other, and for parents to build and strengthen relationships with the faculty and staff who teach and know their children so well. Local Beverly business REV Kitchen & Bar and REV Burger generously sponsored the event by providing the delicious food for the evening.

Head of School Amber Bock shared a short presentation highlighting some of the special moments and new initiatives Shore students enjoyed over the course of the 2024–2025 school year, her first year at Shore, including new Upper School trips and opportunities for service learning at every grade level. Her highlights centered on “How the Good Grows” and the six critical aspects of the student experience represented by branches on a tree, including students in service; students receiving support and challenge; students outdoors and beyond Shore; students connecting with faculty; students growing character and leadership; and students on stage and field.

The video Bock shared celebrated the generosity of Shore’s families, alumni, employees, and others, highlighting the impact made by the one million dollars donated to Shore last year. Students have new marimbas to play, a new scoreboard and several athletics and field enhancements to enjoy, and new opportunities in outdoor learning with the creation of the Woodland Classroom. Bock also introduced a new Fall Family Challenge, a friendly competition across grade levels to reach 100% in giving to The Shore Fund by November 14, 2025.

Bock closed by thanking families for their partnership and encouraging their attendance at upcoming Shore events, including Fall Sports Spirit Day, the Halloween Parade and Concert, Grandfriends Visiting Day, and the Shore Winter Weekend. The “good grows” because of participation and engagement, just as it does in the classroom. And the stories of the good growing unfold each day.

As parents left to collect their children from childcare in the Library or to return home to the babysitter, the smiles and laughter lingered, carrying the warmth and spirit of the community.
