Shore will host its Boston Networking Event at the White Bull Tavern on Wednesday, January 8, 2020. Alumni and parents of alumni are invited to join Head of School Clair Ward, featured alumni speakers, and current and former Shore faculty members for complimentary hors d’oeuvres and beverages. The event is a continuation of Shore’s new annual tradition of hosting events designed to give alumni the chance to connect and reconnect with each other and with Shore. Other recent gatherings have included events in Boston (Spring 2019) and Los Angeles (Spring 2018). Shore will also host a gathering in Spring 2020 in New York City.

The Boston Networking Event will be hosted by current parents Alissa and Jeff Baird P ’29, ’31, owners of the White Bull Tavern, and parents of alumni Jennifer Motley ’84 and Andrew Borggaard P ’17, ’17, ’19. “We are delighted that Alissa, Jeff, Jenn, and Andy are helping to make this evening possible for Shore,” said Director of Advancement Katie Kozin. “Shore alumni are eager to network with each other, and we are grateful to our featured alumni speakers Rufus Clark, Amanda Filoso Schreyer, Sydney Atkins, and Taylor Chin for their willingness to partner with Shore to promote networking.”
Rufus Clark ’79 is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Bunker Hill Capital, with over 28 years of experience working as a principal with middle market companies. He is active working with portfolio companies in the role of lead investor and has extensive board-level experience. Clark currently sits on the boards of directors of Bunker Hill Capital portfolio companies Dyno Holdings, Hubbardton Forge, and Taos Mountain. Prior to founding Bunker Hill Capital, he was a Managing Director at BancBoston Capital. Prior to joining BancBoston Capital, he worked at Bank of Boston. Clark holds a B.A. from Harvard College.
An experienced transactional lawyer, Amanda Schreyer ’93 focuses her practice on licensing and technology; intellectual property; and privacy and data security. She represents a broad range of media, marketing, and e-commerce clients, including media conglomerates and digital publishers; advertising and marketing agencies; video game and software developers; and authors, filmmakers, and creative entrepreneurs, in connection with a variety of transactional matters. Schreyer is currently counsel at Morse in Waltham. She is also an adjunct professor of law at Suffolk University Law School.
Sydney Atkins ’98 joined Ellevest after years on Wall Street, where she worked with high net-worth families, foundations, and endowments. Before that, she founded and served as CEO of a company that helped girls find their power through athletics. Today, Atkins combines these passions as a member of Ellevest’s Private Wealth Management team. Atkins holds an M.B.A. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology - Sloan School of Management and a B.A. from Middlebury College.
Porter Grieve '08 is a Special Projects Manager for AS Roma, a professional soccer club based in Rome, Italy. Having worked with the club since 2015, Porter rejoined the organization after a seven-month hiatus where he and wife, Anna Lisa (Falzone) '08, traveled the world working as Instagram entrepreneurs, photographers, and bloggers. Grieve holds a B.A. from Washington and Lee University and is a graduate of Brooks School.
Taylor Chin ’11 currently works as a research analyst in the Brattle Group’s litigation and finance practice. He supports expert witnesses and helps companies answer complex questions in matters related to telecom and media, intellectual property, valuation, damages, and consumer surveys. Before joining Brattle, Chin studied economics and computer science at Wesleyan University, where he played on the men’s soccer team. Prior to Wesleyan University, he attended Phillips Academy, where he served as a Prefect, Phillipian Sports Editor, and a Personal And Community Education (PACE) Senior.
