About

Sustainability

An All-School Effort

At Shore, sustainability is an all-school mission. Our faculty-staff Sustainability Committee encourages the entire school community to become responsible, life-long stewards of the environment. Working with students both in and out of the classroom, the Committee identifies and facilitates sustainable practices and educational initiatives that promote conscious consumption of natural resources. Committee members seek to nurture ecological literacy by developing the knowledge, skills, and values that are essential for ensuring ecological balance for future generations, and they seek to create a legacy of leaders who are empowered to work towards a sustainable future and are inspired to share their appreciation for the natural world.
