JV1 Takes Fessenden Down to the Buzzer in Hard-Fought Loss
Coming off of last week's overtime thriller against Landmark, we closed out January with a trip to Fessenden. Long and active on defense, they challenged us to maintain possession of the ball and execute quick passing in order to find open looks at the basket. We too have relied on our defensive efforts all season long, and were able to keep the game close all the way through by swarming to the ball and eliminating midrange shots. It was a fast-paced and competitive game through both halves. With a little over 30 seconds left, Fessenden hit a running jumper to go ahead. After gathering together in a timeout, we managed two separate looks to either tie the game up or take a one point lead. Unfortunately, those shots didn't go our way today, and we came up just short at the buzzer. Nonetheless, we are proud of effort and determination, and are excited for another opportunity to improve our record at home today against Brookwood. Let's go Shore!
