Seven Questions: Chloe Rourke-Nicholas

By Claire Trustey

[In this recurring feature, Shore students answer questions posed by a fellow student.]

Chloe Rourke-Nicholas plays on Shore's Varsity Softball team, and she recently won first place in the Beverly Library's annual Teen Poetry Contest. We talked in the Inspiration Garden outside the Dining Hall on a gorgeous day in May.

Chloe, where is your favorite place on the Shore campus?
I really love this bench outside Ms. Bauer's room that's kind of in the shade, kind of in the sun. And when it's nice out like today I love to do homework out there during Eighth Hour.

Speaking of locations, where is your favorite vacation spot?
I've never been there, but I really want to go to Greece.
For what reason?
It just looks really pretty!

What's the best movie you've seen recently?
I've recently seen Roman Holiday, with Audrey Hepburn; that's one of my favorite movies, and I watch it over and over again.

What is your favorite sport to play, and to watch?
I love watching college basketball, and I love playing softball.

Any specific college basketball teams?
No.

You were in a Shore video recently. What was it about?
It was about Shore's discussion-based classrooms and using the Harkness table for discussion. I said Shore's discussion-based classrooms are great at helping you see sides to history you might not have considered, and that they really prepared me for high school.
