The Upper School Performs "Dad-Joke Intervention" for Shore’s Annual Fall Play
Families and students in Grades 5 - 8 were invited to watch the one-act comedy "Dad-Joke Intervention" by Wade Bradford on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in the Trustey Family Theatre.
“The audience was in stitches the whole time, clearly entertained by the performance. They especially enjoyed the mustache mishap,” said Theater Arts Teacher Sarah Carlin. “Congratulations on a wonderful show to all those involved!”
The play followed the Dunlop Family as they went through an intervention for their father, Steven, whose endless supply of groaner jokes simply became too much for his wife and three children to handle.
As the serious Mrs. Wright helped intervene, things quickly took a turn for the absurd. Was the Dunlop family able to get through to Steven, or were they doomed to be forever subjected to his barrage of cheesy jokes and puns?
