Outdoor Education Vision Revealed at Spring Benefit

On April 8, Head of School Larry Griffin at Shore's Spring Benefit revealed the school's vision to create three transformative outdoor educational spaces in locations across campus. In an accompanying video, Head of Lower School Sara Knox and several faculty members detailed the planning for the new spaces.

Guests at the Benefit were invited to donate to support the school's vision, and more than $90,000 were contributed on the night of the event. The outdoor spaces served as the traditional "Frenzy" item at this year's Benefit auction. Frenzy items are typically ambitious projects or goals toward which the entire school community is invited to contribute. The outdoor educational spaces are expected to be complete by the 2017-2018 school year.

Further donations may be made via the Spring Benefit auction site. The video detailing Shore's vision for outdoor education is below.
