Jay Seman '05 Speaks About Thermodynamics to 8th grade

Jay Seman came back to Shore to speak with 8th grade Math students about how his interest in thermodynamics began. While working on his PhD, Jay has had some opportunities to film the power and effects of explosives, all conducted under the strict guidance of his professors. Jay demonstrated on videos that changes in the equation produces a difference in the size and shape of each explosion. All the students and faculty in attendance thoroughly enjoyed learning about where degrees in Chemical and Explosives Engineering can take them.
