Upper School Presents Art Show, Pop and Rock Concert
Upper School students exhibited artworks and presented their spring concert, "Destination Rock & Roll," on May 16. Conducted by Upper School Music teacher Jennifer Boyum, ensembles and soloists performed a wide range of popular tunes highlighting musical destinations around the world. The Concert Choir, Grade 6 Chorus, Jazz Band, and Puellae Cantantes and Acafellas performed along with several student groups and individual performers. Joey Tedesco directed the Shore Chamber Ensemble as they impressed with several arrangements. For the concert's finale, Chore alumnus Charles Hoffmann '18 soloed on electric guitar for a medly of songs by Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members inclding Joan Jett, Deep Purple, Heart, and Kiss. Meanwhile, in the Kiva and throughout the Center for Creativity, art was on display, representing a year's worth of creative effort by Upper School students.
