Admissions Middle School Open House

Trustey Family Theatre
Shore's Middle School Open House begins in the Trustey Family Theatre, where visitors will hear more about how Shore students are inspired for life. Alumni, parents, and community members at local independent high schools will share their first-hand insights about the lasting impact of a Shore education.

Following an initial discussion, students will participate in two hands-on activities as well as engage with Shore Upper School students to learn more about our trips program. During that time, parents will have the opportunity to attend two of four panels, specifically designed for parents to hear about the unique qualities of Shore.

Panel 1: Venture Outside Comfort Zones: At Shore, we treasure the comfort we feel in our community, which allows us all to challenge ourselves and try new things. Whether it is attending one of our overnight trips, trying out for an athletic team, or performing for the first time on stage, our students know they will be supported as they grow in new ways.

Panel 2: Engage with Mentors: Our teachers are extraordinary. They inspire children to embrace a lifelong love of learning, participate with students in energetic music groups, coach our athletic teams, and guide students on a variety of Independent Studies.

Panel 3: Unite in Spirit: Community is a part of the Shore experience. From connecting through the all-campus House System to our supportive advisory system to our campus-wide commitment to service learning, learn more about the one-of-a-kind Shore family.

Panel 4: Empower the Learners: Shore's students are entrusted with responsibility for their own learning, and nowhere is that clearer than in our Innovation Lab or around our Harkness tables. Learning in our Upper School is interactive and energizing.
