Art, Music, and Drama are not “extras” in life—nor are they at Shore. Creative expression is a vital part of a Shore education. In addition to a vibrant visual arts program taught by practicing artists, Shore offers a fully developed Drama program led by a drama teacher with professional experience, a cappella groups and a string ensemble, hands-on exploration of the natural world through an integrated art and science curriculum (S.A.I.L.), and individual mentoring in our Independent Study program for Upper School students to hone their artistic skills. Students in every grade at Shore work in the Innovation Lab, a makerspace where they can manipulate real world materials to make their ideas come to life!
