Admissions

Application Process

Ready toApply?

The application process is designed to help our Admissions team develop as complete an understanding of your child(ren) as possible. For applicants to all grades, we will utilize various methods to learn about your child; we will get to know your child through their interactions with Shore, information from their current school, as well as your perspective through conversations and the Parent/Guardian Questionnaire. Please follow the application steps below. If you have any questions about the process, please reach out to admissions@shoreschool.org.

APPLY NOW

This page outlines the Admissions application process. To learn about the Financial Assistance process at Shore, please visit our Affording Shore pages. The two processes are separate and both need to be completed in their entirety for any families seeking admission and financial assistance.

Application Process Steps

List of 7 items.

  • Submit an Inquiry

To request information and initiate contact with our Admissions Office, please take a few minutes to complete our inquiry form. This ensures we receive your contact information and add you to our MyShore system so you do not miss pertinent news about the Admissions cycle.
  • Visit Shore

We invite you to explore our campus through a guided tour. During your visit, you will have the opportunity to see our academic learning environments and leave with a deeper understanding of our community as a whole. Join us on campus by scheduling your tour here.

If for some reason you are unable to visit the school, we request that you schedule a conversation with us so that we can learn about you and your family and answer any questions you may have. Please contact our office at admissions@shoreschool.org.
  • Complete an Application Online

Using the MyShore portal, applicants must complete an Online Application which asks for additional family information and serves as the foundation for your child’s candidacy throughout the application process. There is an application fee of $50. If the application fee presents a hardship for your family, please reach out to Amy Belanger for a waiver code.
  • Complete the Parent/Guardian Questionnaire

The Parent/Guardian Questionnaire is an important part of your child’s application to Shore. Your perspective as parents/guardians is helpful in developing a complete understanding of your child. After submitting an application form, the Admissions team will activate the Parent/Guardian Questionnaire in your MyShore account. If you cannot access the form, please notify Amy Belanger.
  • Request Information from Your Child’s School

Learning about your child’s current school experience is important to us; therefore, a variety of supporting documents are requested as part of the application process from your child’s current teacher and school. In your MyShore account, you will see an application checklist that will help identify and provide active links and downloads to the appropriate forms. The AISNE Student Evaluation can be shared directly with your child’s teacher(s), and the School Records request should be sent to the school office.
  • Admissions Assessment

Shore has designed an assessment process for each grade level with the goal of learning as much about your child as possible. The assessment is intended to evaluate academic and developmental readiness across various subject areas. It is just one part that contributes to our overall determination of your child’s readiness for our program. Assessments will take place in person.
  • Receive Admissions Decision

Decisions for Pre-K will be released February 1, 2024 through MyShore. Decisions for Kindergarten - Grade 9 will be released March 27, 2024 through MyShore.

If accepted, the enrollment contract and deposit must be submitted by February 15 (Pre-K) or April 12, 2024 (Kindergarten - Grade 9) in order to secure a spot.
The majority of our openings are filled following the traditional admissions calendar, however, we will continue to accept applications throughout the spring and summer, depending on space.
